Using Class Join Codes for users in Canada

Before we begin

• If your school uses Single Sign On (SSO), Class Join Codes can only be used with students who have existing EP accounts. New accounts cannot be created for SSO schools using this method, due to user provisioning requirements.

Managing Class Join Codes

By default, every class on EP will have an associated Class Join Code and invite link.

You can find this by navigating to the Classes tab in your dashboard and clicking on any class (you can also create a new class).

When viewing the class, you'll see the class code in the top right. 

Click Copy code to save the code to your clipboard, to be pasted elsewhere and passed along to students.

If you ever need to refresh the code (for example, to stop students from joining a class), click the three dots, and then Refresh.

Distributing Class Join Codes

Once you have the code, you can distribute it to your students so they can add themselves to your class! Student instructions can be found here.

Use our full screen function to easily share the code in class.

This will open a new browser tab, making it easy to present the code to students on a projector or elsewhere in your class. You'll also see an option to Copy class invite link. You can share this link with students directly, to save them navigating manually to the invite URL.
